Medication use
What are GLP-1 medications?
GLP-1 medications act on signals involved in appetite, fullness, digestion, and blood sugar. Semaglutide acts on the GLP-1 receptor; tirzepatide acts on both GLP-1 and GIP receptors. They are prescription medications, and a licensed provider determines whether either option is appropriate for you.
How do I take my medication?
The compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide offered through Meri Health are injected under the skin once weekly, exactly as prescribed. Use only the dose and injection instructions on your pharmacy label and from your care team, rotate injection sites as directed, and never change your dose on your own.
What if I miss a dose?
Do not take an extra dose or guess. Missed-dose directions differ by medication and may depend on your prescribed formulation. Follow the instructions on your pharmacy label, or contact your provider or dispensing pharmacy before your next injection if you are unsure.
How should I store my medication?
Follow the storage and handling instructions on the dispensing pharmacy's label and package because compounded formulations can have different requirements. If the medication was frozen, overheated, damaged, or left out longer than directed, contact the pharmacy or Meri care team before using it.
When should I take my dose?
Take it once weekly on the day directed by your provider and pharmacy label. Follow the label for timing and any instructions about changing your weekly dosing day; contact your care team before changing your schedule if you are unsure.
Can I continue my current dose if I am switching from another provider?
Your new provider must review the exact medication, concentration, dose, timing, side effects, and how long you have used it before choosing your Meri Health plan. Do not match concentrations or continue, skip, or increase a dose on your own; compounded products can differ even when the active ingredient has the same name.
About Meri Health
What is Meri Health?
Meri Health is a health and wellness platform for women. For prescription weight care, Meri Health connects patients with independently licensed healthcare providers who review health information and decide whether treatment is appropriate. Meri Health does not practice medicine or dispense medication.
What is the Meri Health process?
Start the private online visit and answer a short set of medical questions. A provider licensed in your state reviews your information. Depending on your state and clinical needs, a video visit or live consultation may be required. If treatment is appropriate, you review the prescribed plan and price before medication is shipped.
How much does Meri Health cost?
Current prices are shown on the weight-care and medication pages. Your final treatment and price depend on what your provider prescribes and the supply plan you select. Payment does not guarantee a prescription, and you are not charged for medication unless a provider prescribes it.
Care and eligibility
Is it legal to prescribe medication online?
Yes. The healthcare provider who reviews your visit must be licensed to treat patients in the state where you live. Prescriptions are issued only when that provider determines they are clinically appropriate.
Can I use health insurance?
The prices displayed by Meri Health are self-pay prices. Meri Health does not submit insurance claims for the weight-care plans shown on this website.
Which pharmacies are you affiliated with?
Manifest Pharmacy, located at 1018 S. Batesville Road, Building 4A, Greer, South Carolina 29650, may fill your prescription based on your treatment and state. You can reach the pharmacy at (888) 770-4009, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm Eastern. Another licensed pharmacy may be used when required, and the pharmacy that fills your order is identified on your order confirmation and medication label.
Can I use my local pharmacy?
Pharmacy options depend on the treatment your provider prescribes and availability in your state. Contact the Meri Health care team before ordering if you want to ask whether a local-pharmacy option is available for your prescription.
Who provides my medical care?
Meri Health connects you with independently licensed healthcare providers. All diagnoses, treatment decisions, and prescriptions are made solely by the provider who reviews your information.
When will I be charged?
You are not charged for medication unless a licensed provider prescribes treatment. If treatment is appropriate, Meri Health shows you the plan and price before payment is collected and before medication ships.
Is my information safe?
Meri Health takes the privacy of your personal and health information seriously. Please review the Privacy Policy and HIPAA Notice for details about how information is collected, used, and protected.
How old do I have to be?
You must be at least 18 years old to start the Meri Health prescription weight-care visit.
What should I do in an emergency?
Call 9-1-1 immediately. Meri Health is not an emergency service and cannot respond to urgent medical issues.
Why might I be asked for a photo ID or a photo of myself?
A provider may need to confirm the identity of the person receiving care and comply with applicable state telehealth requirements. Any requested identity information is handled under Meri Health's privacy practices.
Orders and delivery
Where does Meri Health offer service?
Service availability depends on whether an appropriate provider is licensed in your state and whether the prescribed treatment can be fulfilled there. Meri Health confirms availability during your visit before any medication charge.
How long will it take to receive my medication?
Timing varies based on provider review, any required consultation, pharmacy processing, and delivery. If you are prescribed, the care team will share updates as your order moves through those steps.
How do I update payment or shipping information?
Use the Meri Health member portal or contact the care team. Update shipping information before your prescription is filled and shipped so the team can confirm whether the change can be applied to the current order.
What if I have a problem with my order or account?
Contact the Meri Health care team through the contact page. Our support team is available from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Sunday.
Returns and cancellations
How do I reorder or cancel?
Use the Meri Health member portal or contact the care team. Cancellation requests must be received before the prescription is filled or the order is shipped. Review the Returns & Refund Policy for the terms that apply.
Can I return medication after I receive it?
Prescription medications generally cannot be returned or reused after dispensing. If your order is damaged, incorrect, or has another problem, contact the care team promptly so it can be reviewed under the Returns & Refund Policy.
