A licensed provider reviews
A provider licensed in your state reviews your answers and decides whether treatment is appropriate. Depending on your state, a quick visit may be needed. There is no charge unless you are prescribed.
Your plan ships to your door
If you are prescribed, your medication is prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy and shipped to you, with your Meri care team checking in along the way.
Who provides your care
Meri Health is a platform that connects you with independently licensed healthcare providers who deliver care through the Meri Health patient portal. Meri Health does not directly practice medicine or dispense medication. All clinical decisions are made solely by the licensed provider who reviews your information. A provider licensed in your state reviews every visit and decides whether treatment is appropriate for you.
Where your medication comes from
If a provider prescribes treatment, your medication is prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy in the United States and shipped to your door. You can read more on our pharmacy disclosure page.
Your privacy
Your health information is handled under our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and Privacy Policy. Your answers are shared with your provider and care team, not sold.
Safety comes first
GLP-1 medicines are not right for everyone. A provider will not prescribe if certain conditions apply. That is the whole point of starting with a visit instead of a shopping cart. During your visit you will be asked about:
- A personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (a type of thyroid cancer)
- Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2)
- Pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- A history of pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
- Type 1 diabetes, or a history of diabetic ketoacidosis
- A previous serious allergic reaction to semaglutide, tirzepatide, or any GLP-1 medication
- Severe stomach or intestinal disease, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or gastroparesis (slow stomach emptying)
- Active gallbladder disease
- Bariatric or other stomach or intestinal surgery in the last 6 months
- Liver disease or cirrhosis
- Kidney disease or a history of kidney failure
If treatment is not appropriate for you, you are not charged for medication, and our care team can help you think through other options.
Prescription products are issued only when clinically appropriate after an evaluation by a licensed provider. Payment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued or that medication will be dispensed.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. They are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies in compliance with Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, based on a valid patient-specific prescription from a licensed provider.

FDA-approved brand-name medications, including Wegovy and Ozempic, are manufactured by Novo Nordisk. Mounjaro and Zepbound are manufactured by Eli Lilly and Company. Meri Health is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these companies or their products.
